I’m a designer! Can you believe it. My second fashion show with Earby Studios was a success.

I was featured as an artist for Canvas Rebel. My first interviews published online on the World Wide Web.

My first fashion show as a designer was nothing but great and challenging. From picking models and changing designs at the last minute I am looking forward to creating my collection of wearable art.

Body painting or body art is not something I am new at doing. I use to draw temporary tattoos using gel pens for a couple bucks when I was younger. Was able to get candy from the local neighborhood candy store during the summer from that little hustle.

Currently my art space is in my guest room. I have my table sitting near the window in the corner because natural lighting is always best when drawing, painting, and taking pictures of your art. It’s my space of peace and tranquillity. My favorite room/area of my apartment.

There are a few things I would have done differently in my art career. First I would have painted what I wanted to paint regardless of how others feel about it and be unapologetically me. I know some people don’t like erotic art for whatever reasons they have and there are people who don’t like art that depicts mental health.

Why do i create art? I get asked this by many individuals when I am at an art show or when i am drawing on a flight somewhere. I usually give them a simple answer…because I love it. Now that I think about it. There is more to it than just love the act of creating art. At least for me. Throughout my life I had many reasons why I create art.

A self taught artist are artists who did not receive formal training in the visual arts. So I guess you can say I am a self taught artist until I got to middle school to receive formal training. I remember getting my first art desk for Christmas when we lived in Detroit and my second “real” art desk in high school. My first one was a little tikes art desk with tracing light and lamp.

During my pregnancy I was so busy with work, art shows, commissions, and events. At the beginning no one really knew I was pregnant unless of course you were one of my six close friends, not counting my partner of course. I just looked extra fluffy in some areas but it worked out considering many events I was painting live in lingerie. Thinking back I did at least 2-3 art shows up until I was 8 months.
